# Launch Auction and Team & Investor Weighting

Genesis Core Contributor PEP tokens receive vePEP equal to the weighted-average duration of their token lockup. This normalizes these vePEP balances with the voting escrow model.

Genesis Core Contributor PEP tokens receive vePEP equal to a 24-month lockup.

Genesis Core Contributor PEP tokens will maintain voting power for 1 week after the end of the staking duration for Genesis Core Contributors to re-stake PEP without losing voting power.
